Texas Society of Architects's Mission Statement: to be the voice of the Texas architectural profession uniting AIA members to advance the profession, serve society, and improve the built environment.

About TSA
The Texas Society of Architects is a member association representing the members of the American Institute of Architects in Texas. Founded in 1939, TSA is made up of 17 regional chapters; the Society is headquartered in Austin.
Organization Objectives
Organize and unite in fellowship the members of the architectural profession of the state of Texas;
Promote the aesthetic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profession;
Advance the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural education, training, and practice;
Coordinate the building industry and the profession of architecture to ensure the advancement of the living standards of people through their improved environment; and
Make the profession of ever-increasing service to society.
Organization Structure
TSA functions as the statewide representative and unifying body for the 17 chapters of AIA chartered within the state of Texas on matters of statewide interest affecting the interests of such chapters. TSA also functions as the regional organization for the Texas region of AIA.
The TSA Board consists of the Officers, Chapter Directors, a Public Member Director, an Educator Member Director, an Intern/Associate Member Director, and the two Texas Region AIA Directors.
There are currently over 5,000 members in TSA, including the following classifications of membership:

Interns
Emeritus
Allied Members
Honorary Members
Membership in TSA is voluntary; however, (with the exception of Honorary Members, Students, and Allied Members) one must join at all levels: local (chapter), state (TSA), and national (AIA).
